The Self Love e-course

Starting on Monday 23rd April 2012, join inspiring teachers in a six week journey of empowerment and discovery. You will learn about and integrate practices that will help you connect to yourself and your feelings, build self belief, feel grounded and more purposeful.

Each week will start with an interview focused on different themes such as: self love, yoga, intuition and purpose and then follow up emails based on that theme for the rest of the week.

We’ll also be addressing the question of “how” -

  • How can I look after myself better?
  • What does it really mean to love yourself?
  • How can I get more in touch with my body and how I really feel?
  • How do I connect to/learn to trust my intuition?
  • What can I do to find and connect to my purpose?

Who will your teachers be?

Kerry Belviso (that’s me!) will be talking about what I’ve learnt about change and self love through working with hundreds of Kinesiology clients over the past few years, including the need for gentleness and compassion for yourself. I’ll also lead our final week with a series of exercises to help you ground and integrate what you’ve learnt.

Michelle McGrath will share her journey with self love, which involved her creating a beautiful set of 33 alchemical oils over nine years. She talks about what it really means to love yourself and how you can incorporate self love practices into your everyday life.

Nadine Fawell is a yoga teacher who now runs a successful corporate yoga business, retreats and events. Nadine has had a very personal journey in connecting back into her body as a way to heal from trauma. She’ll share how you can connect to your body and feelings in way that feels safe, rather than suppressing or ignoring how you really feel.

Sarah K Jones is an intuitive healer with a successful practice both in Brisbane and Melbourne. She also runs workshops. Sarah assists her clients to realise their true nature, come back to the heart and provides clarity and guidance about specific issues. She talks about connecting to, developing and learning to trust your intuition.

Kate James is a busy coach who helps people build confidence, develop creativity and clarify personal strengths, values and needs. Having experienced half a dozen career changes herself, she understands the dissatisfaction in people unsure of their personal or business paths. She shares some of the best ways she knows to get in touch with your own sense of purpose and life direction.

Here’s how it will work

Starting on Monday April 23rd and then continuing each week day for six weeks, your self love e-course will be delivered to your inbox. Each Monday of the course will include a longer recording or interview with one of our experts (approx 45 minutes) for you to download and listen to on a particular theme. Then each day for the rest of the week you’ll receive inspiring follow up activities and resources to help you integrate what you’ve learnt into your every day life.

Course details

Week one: Navigating through change with self love – Kerry Belviso. This week we’ll be easing in, setting our intentions not only for the course itself, but for how we will be with ourselves during the course. Change and growth is easier in an atmosphere of safety and curiosity and we’ll look at how you can provide this to yourself. 

Week two: What does loving yourself really mean – Michelle McGrath. Michelle shares her personal journey, and talks about the fact that loving yourself is definitely not light and fluffy. During the week you’ll receive a special self-love meditation created for course participants and other tips and reminders about how to show yourself love in your daily life.

Week three: Connecting to your body – Nadine Fawell. Nadine shares her personal story and talks about her belief that building strength and awareness in your body helps to create strength to deal with challenging emotions. Follow up activities include TWO videos with yoga sequences for you to explore and an audio guide you can use to check in with your body anytime.

Week four: Connecting to your intuition – Sarah K Jones. Sarah shares her take on the connection between intuition, self belief, self love and staying grounded. You’ll find out how to “open” your connection to your third eye and receive a great follow up grounding meditation and other resources.

Week five: Connecting to your purpose – Kate James. Many people are seeking a greater sense of purpose in their lives and Kate shares how you can begin to connect to your own purpose and feel more fulfilled in your daily life. She understands that it’s a process and equips us with lots of tools and strategies to help us get more connected to a deeper sense of purpose.

Week six: Gratitude and grounding – Kerry Belviso. This week we’ll take the opportunity to reflect on what we’ve learnt, use acupressure to integrate our learning and consider how we might now move forwards.

Other support

You’ll also have access to a private Facebook group page where our community will form – you can use throughout the course to share any insights, ask questions and connect with the rest of our group. You can ask any of the speakers questions too!

Why am I running this?

I actually got the whole idea for this e-course whilst on a plane returning from Broome to Melbourne in September 2011.

I really wanted to draw together inspiring, positive teachers to share what they know about connecting to yourself and showing yourself love. About connecting to your body, your intuition, your sense of purpose. Questions my clients often ask me about.

I wanted to present the material in such a way that it supports to you to delve deeply over time, gradually integrating what you’re learning into your daily life. I wanted it to be full of great resources you can refer back to whenever you need.

I have so much respect for each of the teachers in our course – I use Michelle’s oils extensively in clinic, Nadine and I have run workshops together, I’ve had many sessions with Sarah and I’ve known Kate for years – we initially made contact via our blogs and in 2011 she included me in a post about inspiring women.

I love that when I approached all of the teachers about participating in our program, each immediately and intuitively said yes.

    Hi Kerry.

    I’m interested on doing the course yet I only have access to an IPAD which I’m sure you know is really a big IPHONE and not a computer.

    I’m not technical and I’m wondering if you could explain technically if I can listen to the course through my IPAD.if you could send me a quick email that would be fantastic.
