I’m back from beautiful sunny Broome and El Questro and had a fabulous time. My husband, Laurence and I went across with our friends Mark and Megan who flew out from the US to join us – now that’s commitment! Lots of flying in that two week trip.
We met Mark and Megan when they lived down the hall from us a few years ago.
Laurence introduced himself to Megan (he’s friendly like that) and in their initial conversation said: “you’ll have to meet my girlfriend, you two look very alike, I think you’ll get along…….!” Well, he was right, we do.
And we do look somewhat similar. On this trip, Megan and I walked into a shop and the sales assistant took one look at us and said, “Oh my God! Are you two twins, or just sisters??”
Check out the colours of El Questro! If you’ve never heard of it, El Questro Station is a property of one million acres near the border of Western Australia and Northern Territory.
It’s really beautiful, along similar lines to Kakadu and there are lots of actiony type activities you can do. We did a lot of hiking, mostly to beautiful swimming holes.
I’m not sure if you can see clearly, but in the second image on the right, Laurence captured the faces of Megan and I when we looked up and realised we’d arrived at Emma Gorge – spectacular. The image at the bottom right shows what we saw – a very welcome sight after hiking for an hour or so in about 37 degree heat. The water was freezing!
It has been wonderful being back seeing such fabulous clients who are having breakthroughs all over the place. Reminds me how lucky I am to do what I do.
And the online booking system is going great too

It sounds beautiful Kerry. And the photos are gorgeous. I went to Kakadu a few years ago and it is one of my most favourite places in the world so I’m glad to hear that Broome is similar. It’s on my list!
Hi Kate! Broome is beautiful but it’s not like Kakadu … we flew to El Questro station (it’s near Kununurra – 1.5 hour flight from Broome, so prob 1000km?) which is similar to Kakadu. I definitely recommend both!
Thanks Kerry…we’ll make sure we add El Questro to the itinerary. Sounds beautiful. I hope you can hold onto that lovely holiday feeling for a few weeks!
Thanks Kate
It’s great to combine the two if you can – very contrasting experiences!
